HOW CASE ADOPTION WORKS
Browse Cases across the United States.
Search our interactive U.S. map to locate specific active cold cases in need of investigative resources and provide a designated amount of funding to support the specific case investigation. You will be recognized on our website but, more importantly, you could be the reason a case is able to move forward with new leads.
2. Select a case that interests you.
Select a case that speaks to you, or a case that is close to your community. There is a minimum amount set by each local agency for the cost of the investigation. You can set the maximum amount you wish to contribute towards the investigation. All donations are tax deductible.
3. Wait for further updates about the case status.
Although we cannot give you sensitive information about the details of the investigation, we will provide you as many updates as the local department will allow us to provide without jeopardizing the integrity of the case. We will provide you with an itemized receipt of the testing costs and all documentation needed for tax deduction purposes.
